RAC Mobile Replacement Guarantee

The RAC Mobile Replacement Guarantee covers the replacement of your RAC purchased car battery if it is found, by RAC, to be defective due to faulty material or workmanship in manufacture within the guarantee period.  The guarantee period for RAC batteries is 3 years for S3 model batteries, 4 years for S4 and S6 models or 5 years for a S5 model, from the date of delivery or fitting by RAC.

We will attend at a mutually convenient time to fit the replacement battery free of charge*.  A replacement battery will have the benefit of the remainder of the guarantee period of the first battery supplied.

This mobile replacement guarantee is supplied in addition to your statutory rights and does not detract from them.

The mobile replacement guarantee does not cover the following:

• Failure by normal wear and tear
• Accidental damage
• Failure caused by an electrical or mechanical fault with your vehicle
• Improper fitting by you or by anyone else (other than where fitted by RAC)
• Any battery not fitted to the vehicle originally notified to us or which has been transferred to another vehicle
• Batteries where the Vehicle covers less than 1,000 miles a year

Making a claim:

• Contact RAC on 0800 828282 and we will determine the most appropriate course of action based on the information you provide us
• Have your invoice or delivery receipt for proof of purchase and RAC membership number (if a member). A copy of this should be supplied to RAC upon request
• Have your vehicle registration number and model details available
• Have your current mileage details available

*We will require a deposit of £30 to cover our call out charge from non-RAC members (including past members) or members where assistance is not covered by their terms of membership at the time of claim which is refundable after we establish that the fault is covered by the guarantee.
