Every garage toolset should contain a couple of high quality power tools. At the RAC, we have a wide range of cordless power tools, high-powered electric power tools and all of the accessories you need to keep those tools in tip-top condition.
We also have a selection of soldering irons and related paraphernalia, including removal tools, soldering torches and soldering guns. If you plan on doing any serious electrical work, then you should pick up some quality equipment. The small soldering irons sold at hobby stores will not do for heavy-duty work. In addition to the tools themselves, here at the RAC we sell replacement drill bits, as well as wire pads and all of the other accessories you will need for day-to-day work in your garage.
Cordless power tools are convenient for use around the house, but if you have the option to use corded ones in your garage then it is a good idea to do so. A good power tool has a comfortable handle with a grip that is appropriately sized for your hands. Cordless power tools range in power from two volts (for simple cordless screwdrivers) to 20 volts for powerful drills. Corded drills have their power measured in amps, and higher amperage tools are more powerful. The 20 volt cordless drills tend to be much heavier than lower-wattage drills, so you may want to purchase one drill for general tasks and then others for precision work or for working with more difficult or heavier materials.
