Using the RAC Shop

Payments & orders

  • We currently accept payment through PayPal, Visa, Mastercard and Maestro cards. We are sorry but we don't currently accept payment by American Express.

  • Delivery times depend on the delivery service you chose at the time you placed your order. We currently offer two levels of service.

    UK Standard Delivery: £3.99 per order / FREE over £50. Orders will be dispatched within 3 working days.

    UK Next Day Delivery: £5.99 per order. Orders must be placed before 2pm and will be delivered next working day (e.g. orders placed on Friday will be delivered on Monday).Next day delivery is only available for customers on the UK Mainland (excluding Scottish Highlands and Northern Ireland).

    Next day delivery is not available on certain items. The delivery options available will be shown in the basket. Delivery charges may be amended from time to time.

    Please allow 15 days from the date we dispatch your items for delivery.

  • If your order has been dispatched but hasn't arrived yet please do the following:

    1. Allow 15 working days for your item to be delivered - we use Royal Mail, UK Mail & UPS to deliver items.
    2. Check with a neighbour - they may have taken the parcel in for you if your were out.
    3. Check with your local Royal Mail collection office - the item may be waiting for collection if you were out.

  • Our policies have been updated to comply with the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. This section sets out your rights to return an item, or cancel an order under defined circumstances.

    Battery customers

    To cancel your car battery order please contact 0800 096 2968 between 8.30am to 5.30pm

    Unwanted items

    You may cancel your order, or return items you no longer want within:

    • 14 days of placing your order (if your items have not yet been posted); or
    • 14 days of receiving your order (if items are posted separately this starts on the day you receive the final item)

    You must notify us of your intent to cancel or return your order by completing the “Order Cancellation Notification” form and returning it to us, or by calling us on 0203 474 0909 Lines are open 9am to 6pm Monday to Friday or by emailing enquiries@racshop.co.uk

    You may open and inspect items, but you may not use them. If a product is returned used, or with unreasonable wear and tear, we reserve the right to charge a 20% fee.

    You will be responsible for all costs of insuring and returning the items to us on time, and undamaged.

    You must return items within 14 days of notifying us of your intent to cancel.

    We will refund the cost of your order, within 14 days of receiving your return or notice to cancel (where the order has not yet been posted). The refund will include the cost of your items plus any delivery fee charged at the point of purchase.

    Personalised or made to order items

    Where items are personalised, or made to order, you do not have the right to cancel or return an order as unwanted.

    We recommend that you double check your order to ensure it meets your requirements before making payment.

  • You must notify of us of any faulty or damaged goods within 30 days of receiving your order. Please email us enquiries@racshop.co.uk and provide the following information:

    • Your details
    • Your order number
    • A photo of the damage to the item and packaging

    We will arrange for a Returns Authorisation Form, a pre-paid returns label, and a RAN (Returns Authorisation Number) to be sent to you. A replacement item or refund will be issued on return of the faulty item.

    Please enclose the completed returns form and your RAN with your items. We are not able to process returns without this information.

    Refunds

    Refunds will be issued within 14 days of our receipt of returned items, proof of posting, or notice to cancel (if the item has not yet been posted).

    We will only refund to the payment card used in the original purchase.

    We will refund the cost of the item plus any postage paid in your original order.

    Nothing in this section affects your statutory rights.

Car batteries

  • If you buy a self fit car battery before 2pm (Mon - Fri) you will be able to select same day delivery *. Alternatively it will be delivered the next business day. At the moment we don’t deliver at weekends or Bank Holidays.

    * Same day delivery is not available in all postcodes at the moment.

  • Did you purchase a battery with fitting?

    Yes – please call 0800 096 2968 08:00 to 20:00 Mon-Fri to cancel you order.

    We are not able to cancel orders via email. You must notify us of your intention to cancel with 7 days of purchase

    Did you purchase a self-fit battery?

    Call us on 0800 051 1544 - 08:30 to 17:00 Mon-Fri.

    If you have purchased a self-fit battery we will need to arrange a collection to ensure the safe and legal transport of the battery. We charge a £10 collection fee for this service. Call us on 0800 051 1544.
