Using The RAC Shop

Do I need to be an RAC member to buy from the shop?

No, we accept orders from members and non-members.

Do I need to create an account to complete my purchase?

No, you can use our guest checkout feature. However, we recommend you create an account to check the status of your order or to view your order history.

I have forgotten my username and password.

That’s OK we have a reminder and reset feature here.

Payments & orders

What payment cards do you accept?

We currently accept Visa, Visa Electron, Mastercard, Maestro and JCB cards.

How long does delivery take?

If you have purchased a car battery before 12pm then we will get it to you the next working day. At the moment we don’t deliver at weekends or Bank Holidays.

If you have purchased any other item we aim to dispatch within 7 days. Please allow up to 28 days for delivery.

My order hasn't been delivered yet.

If your order has been dispatched but hasn't arrived yet please do the following:

1. Allow 15 working days for your item to be delivered - we use First Class Royal Mail.

2. Check with a neighbour - they have have taken the parcel in for you if your were out.

3. Check with your local Royal Mail collection office - the item may be waiting for collection if you were out.

Can I cancel my order?

Under the distance selling regulations you have 7 days to cancel your order from date of delivery. We will refund the full cost of the item and postage to your payment card.

The cost of postage to return unwanted items will be paid by you, no refunds offered.

To cancel your order please email or phone us with your order number.

I have received a faulty item in my order

If you receive a faulty item please email or call us and we will arrange a prompt replacement for you.

Car batteries

When will you deliver my battery?

If you have purchased a car battery before 12pm then we will get it to you the next working day. At the moment we don’t deliver at weekends or Bank Holidays.

I need to change / cancel my battery fitting appointment.

Please call us as soon as possible on 0800 096 2968.

Can I cancel my RAC car battery order?

Yes – please call 0800 096 2968 to cancel you order. We are not able to cancel orders via email. You must notify us of your intention to cancel with 7 days of purchase.

If you have purchased a self-fit battery we will need to arrange a collection to ensure the safe and legal transport of the battery. We charge a £10 collection fee for this service.

I own an RAC Sat Nav and need help.

If you own an RAC Sat Nav and you have a query, please follow the guidance below.

In the first instance please speak with the shop you purchased the unit from, they should be able to help.

If you purchased your RAC Sat Nav from the RAC Shop or elsewhere and need further assistance please fill in the Sat Nav Enquiry Form. Someone from our Sat Nav Customer Care desk will contact you to process your query.

I own an RAC Pressure Washer and need spare parts

You can purchase spare parts by visiting the RAC Pressure Washer Spares & Accessories site.

We regret that the RAC Shop cannot provide refunds, spares or repairs for Pressure Washers not purchased through our website. Please contact your retailer for further assistance.
