RAC attends around half a million battery-related call-outs each year. Cold weather, leaving the lights on accidentally, or simple wear and tear, can all take their toll on your car's battery.

RAC Members only need to pay for the cost of the car battery (Terms and Conditions apply). *

For non-RAC members we can fit your car battery for just £30.

What's included?

  • A convenient mobile service – at a location and time that suits you (subject to availability).
  • RAC will check your old car battery really is at fault, so you don’t spend money you don’t need to.
  • If we find it’s not your battery at fault our patrol will diagnose your problem and provide a solution.
  • RAC will fit and test your new car battery and charging system using the latest technology.
  • We only fit Bosch car batteries - for quality and peace of mind – and include a 3, 4 or 5 year mobile replacement guarantee.
  • Your vehicle's electrical system will be assessed to make sure the right specification battery is fitted.*
  • We’ll take your old battery away and recycle it.
  • We’ll carry out a 5-point vehicle check to make sure your motoring is as safe as possible.

* Based on convenience and safety equipment (e.g. air conditioning, heated seats) and type of usage we may recommend a higher specification battery than listed using the battery search tool.

* View terms and conditions. Members without At Home cover will be required to pay further charges if battery fitting is required at home.
